PRANKING NOTEBOOK
Every prankster needs a notebook to keep track of their schemes.
Materials:
A blank notebook
Tape
Scissors
Instructions:
1. Do NOT write your name in your notebook. Do NOT write your address in your notebook. Do NOT, in fact, write any specific personal information that would lead somebody to pinning your pranks on YOU. If you lose your pranking notebook, it will be a sad day, yes, but at least you won’t get in any trouble.
2. Make the outside of your notebook look as boring as possible. Exhaustive research has proven that the dullest word in the English language is FORMS. Print, cut and attach this FORMS label to the outside of your pranking notebook.
3. Divide your notebook into two sections:
PRANKING PLANS. In this section, you will plan your latest prank in detail, list the materials you’ll need to be successful, and come up with titles for your operations.
PRANKS COMPLETED. This is the section where you’ll keep a running tally of the amazing pranks you’ve pulled off this year, complete with satisfying checkboxes.
4. Write everything in pencil. It makes your plans more flexible and allows you to erase in emergencies.
5. Find a great place to hide your pranking notebook when you’re not at home. For instance: inside an empty graham cracker box that you put under your bed, behind a blanket. For extra distraction, purchase a decoy notebook. Label it something like “SECRET CRUSHES” or “MY DARKEST FEARS” and leave it in plain sight.

THE TELEPHONE CIPHER
The best way of preventing somebody from reading your private notes is by using a code. We’re here to teach you the telephone cipher.
Does this keypad (below) look familiar? It does? Good. You’ve seen a phone before.
Now, in the telephone cipher, there are two numbers for each letter. The first digit corresponds to the number on a telephone, while the second digit corresponds to the position on the key.
For example:
21 = A
Why? Because A is located on the number 2 on the keypad and A is in the first position of that particular key.
22 = B
B is located on the 2 key and is in the second position of that key.
53 = L
L is located on the 5 key and is in the third position on that key.
It may take a little practice to nail this, but you’ll soon be on your way.
See if you can figure out what this one means.
